ONE DAY IEDC WORKSHOP ON IDEATION TO STARTUP & FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
IEDC in association with the ED Club and IIC at Sree Buddha College of Engineering., Pattoor organized a one-day workshop on Ideation to start-up & funding opportunities on 6th May 2022. The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Ajay Basil Varghese, Nodal Officer of IEDC and TBI Adi Sankara Institute of Engineering & Technology, Kalady. Mr. Ajay is an academician and an entrepreneur. The workshop was conducted for 120 IEDC members of SBCE to give awareness about ideation, Innovation & entrepreneurship. Mr. Ajay started with the story of his journey from academician to entrepreneur. He explained about innovation, entrepreneurship, ideation, and development of business models. 20 Student groups were formulated followed by brainstorming sessions and pitched their idea for a startup. They also gave a 2-minute presentation of their business model. Mr. Ajay gave proper comments on the presentations and encouraged them. He also made them understand patents and funding opportunities available for the IEDCs and students. The students expressed excellent feedback about the workshop that motivated them to think out of the box and realize their potential. The workshop was followed by an appreciation session of the top performers of IPL, an ideation competition etc. The last one-year journey of SBCE IEDC was also presented and encouraged students to get involved in more programs.
