IEEE the world’s largest technical organization was rooted in SBCE campus in 2015.IEEE student chapter started with 17 student members and one staff co-coordinator. Now the student members are more than 90, including members from Department of Bio-Technology, Department of Electronics and Communication along with Department of Electrical and Electronics. The SBCE-IEEE student Branch Chapter is co-ordinated by Department of Electrical and Electronics.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFIT ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
IEEE STUDENT BRANCH INAUGURATION & MEMBERSHIP BENEFIT ORIENTATION PROGRAMME for interested students of the college was organized by IEEE student’s chapter of Sree Buddha College of Engineering, Pattoor at the EEE department seminar hall on 2 nd March 2020 at 10:30AM. Mr. Ananthu Vijayakumar, Assistant professor of EEE Department welcomed the gathering. The function was presided over by Dr. S Suresh Babu, Principal Sree Buddha College of Engineering. Mr. Nandan S, Student Chair IEEE Kerala session was the chief guest of the event and he inaugurated the Function and also gave a talk on “IEEE MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS”. Prof. Vinod V P, HOD of EEE Department felicitated the gathering. The inaugural session was concluded by Vote of thanks delivered by IEEE Student chapter chair Ms. Aneeta Annie Sam. The students of IEEE college chapter with the Branch Counsellor Mr. Ananthu Vijayakumar participated in the talk. The chief guest gave a brief idea about how actively a student chapter can work and all the aspects of a student chapter and benefits of IEEE membership.

MANAGERIAL AND PRODUCT DESIGN WORKSHOP
The Department of ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS in association with IEEE Conducted a one day workshop on “Managerial and Product Design” This was all about developing the managerial skill of students which was conducted on March 9 2017.The resource person was Mr. Thomson Tom Students from other colleges also took part in this event. Group activities, product design programs, product marketing and product presentation were the highlight of the event.
