NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS: Depart of Electronics and communication engineering celebrates NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY on 18/3/2025. Dr. Pradeep C, Professor, Department of Electronics, Saintgits College of Engineering inaugurated National Science Day 2025 followed by an enlightening talk on “MILLION CHIPS, BILLION DREAMS”.
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE – ICST 2025 : Department of Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics and Electronics and Communication, Sree Buddha College of Engineering, Pattoor, Alappuzha, Kerala jointly organized an International Conference on Synergetic Technologies: “Sustainable Approaches in Electrical, Electronics & Computer Engineering by Integrating AI for Future Innovations” in association with Institute of Engineers(India), Kollam Local Centre on 24th and 25th March 2025. Program started with welcome address by Dr K. Krishnakumar, Principal, SBCE Pattoor. Prof. K. Sasikumar (Chairman, Sree Buddha Educational Society) presided over the conference. The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Jubilant J Kizhakkethottam, Professor of Computer Science, Saintgits College of Engineering. The keynote speaker was Dr. Dhanup S. Pillai, Scientist , Qatar Environment & Energy Research Institute – QEERI. Prof V Prasad, secretary, Sree Buddha Educational Society did felicitation. Dr. S. Suresh Babu, (Convenor ICST 25) presented the program rationale. Er. P Gopalakrishna Pillai Retd. Divisional Engineer, Central Water Commission Executive Committee Member and Area Coordinator I.E. from Quilon did a felicitation on behalf of IEI. The conference was organized in hybrid mode.
Drone workshop: Department of ECE and ER in association with nuke labs organized a Drone workshop on 24/2/2025
Hackathon : Students from Department of ECE and ER participated in the Reverse Engineering Hackathon organized by IEEE, SBCE.
Industrial Visit 2024-28 batch at ITI LIMITED Palakkad: Gain insights into current market trends and technologies through hands on experience with industry standard equipment and processes like PCB fabrication, SIM manufacturing, ATM card processing sessions etc.
Industrial visit as part of BIS club: Department of ECE and ER in association with BIS club conducted an industrial visit at KINFRA INDUSTRIAL PARK, Thiruvalla on 14/2/2025 .
A Talk on “How to Perform in an Interview” by Mr. Santhosh Silvester, Project manager of SILGRACE TECH PRIVATE LIMITED was conducted for Final year students of Dept. of ECE on 11/12/2024.
WORKSHOP : A 3-day Hands-on training on “Internet of Things” for the students of Department of ECE by OPEN LEAVES 16-18th December 2024.
A talk on “NEP 2020 ” by Dr. Binu P P, UGC Nominee for BoG of Autonomous Colleges was
conducted on 8th October 2024. The programme was organized by Prof. Hari S.
A two day workshop on “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Bootcamp” was organized by Prof. Sabi S and Prof. Pooja S Mohan, Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering on 29 & 30/8/2024. The session was handled by Open leaves (Start-up Company of the department).
ELECTRA’24 : Department of ECE & ES organized Technical Fest on 8-4-2024. Prof. K Sasikumar, Chairman of sree buddha college of engineeing inaugurated the fest. ROBO SOCCER, RC RACE, FUN ZONE, E-SPORTS & BASS BLAST Programmes were conducted during fest.
BIS STANDARD CLUB: Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering formed BIS standard club. As part of BIS club activity department organized an orientation session on “Consumer awareness and quality building” and conducted a standard writing completion of 12-03-2024.
NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS 2024: Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering & Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Innovation Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) & Institution of Engineers (IEI) celebrated National Science Day on 28th February 2024. National Science Day, commemorating the epoch-making discovery of ‘Raman Effect’ by Dr. C. V. Raman in 1928. This year, the celebration, marking the growth of Science in India, has the theme “Indigenous Technologies for Vikasit Bharat”. The program commenced with a grand inauguration by esteemed guest, Dr. Imthias Ahamed T P, Professor ,TKM College of engineering followed by an enlightening technical talk on “Generative AI”. Later in the day, students of various departments participated enthusiastically in a challenging quiz competition, showcasing their knowledge and passion for science. A total of 8 teams were participated in quiz competition & the winners are Mr. Ashwin satheesh and Ms. Siyana Abdul Razak.
CAREER GUIDANCE by GuidEd Overseas : Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering & Electronics and Communication Engineering jointly conducted a career guidance session for B-Tech students on 26th February 2024 at BT seminar hall. 50 students from various departments were attend the session.
IDEA COMPETITION: The Department of ECE & ES in association with IIC and IEDC conducted an Idea competition “IDEATHON” on 16th October 2023. This program was intended to capture students unique skills to apply to real world problems.
A webinar on “PLAN YOUR CARRIER” by Anu Bhaskar was conducted by Department of ECE on 25th March 2023.
A Webinar on “Recent Trends in VLSI Design- Industry Perspective” by Dr. Premeela B, Sr staff Engineer, Silizium circuits Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad was conducted on 09-09-2023 at 5 pm.
