World Water Day Celebration
Er.K.Sivadasan, Honorary Secretary, Kollam Local Centre formally handed over the Certificate of Registration to Prof. K Sasikumar, Chairman, SBCE in a function organised for inauguration of FIVE Student Chapters and Celebration of World Water Day 2018 on 22.3.2018
The function continued with an expert talk on “Water Scenario in Kerala.” by Sri K V Ramanujan Thampi, Technical director & Chief consultant, Watershed and Environment (Government of Kerala).
World Environment Day Celebration
The Institution of Engineers (India) Students Chapter of Department of Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering, Sree Buddha College of Engineering and The Institution of Engineers (India) Kollam Local Centre jointly organized one day Seminar on the topic “Environmental Challenges-ways to connect with nature” on 5th June 2018 in the seminar hall, Civil Block, SBCE, Pattoor.
World Telecommunication Day
IE(I) student’s chapter Department of Electronics and Communication, Sree Buddha College of Engineering (SBCE), Pattoor, Alappuzha along with IE(I) Kollam Local Centre organized a technical talk on “ICT initiatives of BSNL in transforming Indian Telecommunication services” by Mr. Venugopalan S, DGM (OP), BSNL, Alappuzha as part of “The World Telecommunication Day”.

Celebration of World Habitat Day 2018
The Institution of Engineers (India) students Chapter of Department of Civil Engineering, Sree Buddha College of Engineering and The Institution of Engineers (India) Kollam Local Centre jointly celebrated World Habitat Day on October 1, 2018.
In association with this program one day technical talk on “Solid Waste Management” was conducted by Mr. Subhash Varma Professor, Department of Architecture, T.K.M College, Kollam on 1st October 2018 at conference hall.
Workshop on Google SketchUp
The Institution of Engineers (India) students’ chapter of the Department of Mechanical Engineering conducted four day workshop on Google SketchUp for the third semester undergraduate students during 11 -16 October 2018. The workshop was conducted by Nexus Technical Solutions, Chengannur, Kerala under the aegis of the Institution of Engineers (India) Kollam Local Centre.
Celebration of World Standards Day 2018
The Institution of Engineers (India) students Chapter of Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Sree Buddha College of Engineering and The Institution of Engineers (India) Kollam Local Centre jointly celebrated World Standards Day on October 15, 2018.
In association with this program one day technical talk on “International Standards and the Fourth Industrial Revolution” was conducted by Dr. Manoj A.S, Senior Knowledge Officer, ICT Academy of Kerala on 15th October 2018 at Seminar hall of Computer Science & Engineering block.
A Seminar on “ELECTRICAL SAFETY AWARENESS”
The Institution of Engineers (India) Students Chapter of Department of Electrical and Electronics, Sree Buddha College of Engineering and The Institution of Engineers (India) Kollam Local Centre organized a Seminar on the topic “Electrical Safety Awareness” on 26th October 2018.
