In order to create the entrepreneurship culture among the students, the Sree Buddha College of Engineering and Technopark – Technology Business Incubator (T–TBI) jointly started the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Center with the full fledged support of the management. This centre was inaugurated by the Secretary, Registrar and Managing Director of T-TBI and, the CFO, Technopark Dr. K. C. Chandrasekharan Nair on 30 January 2014
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) is being promoted in educational institutions to develop institutional mechanism to create entrepreneurial culture in S&T academic institutions and to foster techno-entrepreneurship for generation of wealth and employment by S&T persons.
T-TBI provides incubatees with necessary infrastructure support, technology/ prototype development support, research assistance, help in getting funding, business consulting assistance and do whatever is necessary to make the start-up a success.
Dr. K. C. Chandrasekharan Nair said, in the current scenario the Multi-National companies cannot provide proper placements due to global financial crises. Only 20 per cent of the students are passing out as Engineers among the large number of students who get admission in various Engineering Colleges every year. According to Dr. K. C. Chandrasekharan Nair, the bio-technology area is the most important area for creating the enterprises like the vertical farming system, i.e., cultivation without soil. The most highlighting session was the experiences shared by a young successful entrepreneur Mr. Libish Karat and other student entrepreneurs. The Secretary of Sree Buddha Educational Society, Prof. V. Prasad, delivered the presidential address. Treasurer Mr. K. K. Sivadasan, Principal Dr. Somi Sebastian and Dean, Dr. E. K. Bhass were offer felicitation and ED Cell Co-ordinator, Assistant Professor. Meerabai proposed vote of thanks.

Minority cell of the college was established in 2017 with the purpose of empowering the students belonging to minority communities in Sree Buddha College of Engineering. “Every student has a right of education” by following the fact our institute is very much keen to provide services to the educational and cultural needs of the Minority community along with other castes, creed and Nationality. The Minority Cell basically helps minority students including Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, etc for their overall development
•To enhance equal opportunities for the education of minorities.
•To facilitate financial support to students from minority communities from State/Central governmental and other sources.
•Provide awareness among the minority students regarding various scholarships program of State /Central Government
•To take such follow up measures for achieving the objectives and targets laid down for the purpose by the State /Central Government
•To ensure an environment where all minority students feel safe and secure.
•To encourage enrolling for career orientation programs that would empower and equip them with the necessary skills to choose a career option
•To provide prompt counseling for any emotional emergencies arising on account of any event at the campus.
•To ensure protection and reservation as provided in the constitution of India.
•To collect reports and information of State Government and UGC’s orders on various aspects of education, employment of minority students.
•To circulate Government and UGC’s decisions about different scholarship programs.
•To communicate with the students and motivate them for better future planning.
•The Cell is committed to providing assistance to the minority students through counseling, personality development, development of communication skill and preparatory classes for professional and employment purposes etc.
•The Cell is actively engaged in coordinating and resolves the problems in the matter of conduct of coaching and other measures with a view to see that the education system succeeds in bringing to a level quantitatively as well as qualitatively indistinguishable from the level of the rest of the society.

OBC Cell has been set up in the Sree Buddha College of Engineering on 7th September 2017, to ensure proper implementation of various schemes of UGC, Government of India and state Govt. concerning scholarships stipends,etc for welfare of reserved categories. The cell aims at assisting the OBC student to meet their needs to improve their performance in curricular and co-curricular activities. All affairs related regarding to various scholarship program of State government and UGC to OBC cell are monitored and informed to the OBC students ,to take such follow up measures for achieving and targets laid down for the purpose by the government of India and UGC.OBC cell also communicates with students and motivate them for future planning.

Activities of OBC Cell
In line with the affirmative policy of Government of India, Sree Buddha College of Engineering has resolved that the programmes, schemes, facilities would be provided to the persons belonging to socially and economically weaker sections of the society.
The college is committed to provide an environment that promotes diversity and respects everyone regardless of colour, religious belief or cultures. While maintaining diversity of all kinds, it also commits to ensuring protection of everyone including SC/ST and acting as per the provisions of constitution of India in such matters. In order to create a living and working environment where all students feel safe and respected and with a view to ensure implementation of the affirmative policy of the Government of India/UGC and related orders issued by such authorities from time to time for the benefit of SC/ST, college established the SC/ST Cell on 10th August 2016, according to Governing Body resolution.
The SC/ST Cell provides comprehensive preventive and proactive services to all such students enrolled for various academic programmes in the college. The goal of the cell is to enhance the psychological wellbeing of SC/ST students at College so they can take full advantage of the educational opportunities at the college. The Sree Buddha College of Engineering has also appointed Nodal Officers to oversee the effective implementation of reservation policies/rules related to SC/ST as per Government of India/UGC notifications.
