PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)
 
The graduates will:
• Gain adequate technical knowledge in Electrical and Electronics engineering to pursue careers in industries and academics
• Pursue lifelong learning to accomplish professional and personal excellence
• Be moulded with ethical values, catering to the societal needs

 
PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs)
 

The graduates of the program should be able to:

PO1. Engineering Knowledge:
Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, to the solution of complex problems in Electrical & Electronics Engineeering

PO2. Problem Analysis:
Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex Electrical & Electronics Engineeering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO3. Design / Development of Solution:
Design solutions for complex Electrical & Electronics Engineeering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PO4. Conduct investigation of complex problems:
Use research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions, related to Electrical & Electronics Engineeering.

PO5. Modern Tool Usage:
Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction, modeling and analysis to complex Electrical & Electronics Engineeering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

PO6. The Engineering and Society:
Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

PO7. Environmental and Sustainability:
Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

PO8. Ethics:
Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

PO9. Individual and Team Work:
Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.

PO10. Communication:
Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.

PO11. Project Management and Finance:
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

PO12. Life-long Learning:
Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.

Electrical & Electronics Engineeering graduates will be able to:

PSO1. Design electrical systems in conformity with industrial practices.

PSO2. Use modern hardware and software platforms to design, analyze and implement electrical and electronic systems.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)
The Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) of the Post Graduate degree (M.Tech) in Electrical Machines (EM) program are presented below.

The graduates will:
PEO I. Be able to equip their knowledge and skills in the areas of Electrical Machines so as to excel in advanced level jobs in industry or in higher education/research
PEO II. Be professionally competent to analyze in an ethical and supportive manner to develop leadership roles in multidisciplinary areas
PEO III. Be moulded with human values and social commitment to develop skills as required for effective professional practices


PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs)

The graduates will be able to:

PO1: Independently carry out research / investigation and development work to solve practical problems
PO2: Write and present a substantial technical report / document
PO3: Ability to analyze, interpret data, develop new innovations, and also demonstrate a degree of mastery over Electrical Machines stream in Electrical Engineering
PO4: Able to develop and utilize modern tools for modelling special Electrical Machines with safety considerations
PO5: Design and conduct experiments, gain technical skills necessary for engineering exploration to solve societal problems for sustainable development
PO6: Indulge in life-long learning for a successful career, adhering to professional and ethical principles to develop leadership qualities
