Research Centre

The faculty members in the department are actively involved in research in thrust areas such as Nanotechnology, Plant Biotechnology, Animal Biotechnology, Clinical Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Environmental Bioremediation.
The department has well established laboratories with instruments such as UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Fluorescence Spectrophotometer, Thermal-cycler, ELISA reader, Gel Documentation, CO2 Incubator, Fermenter, Laminar Air Flow Hoods, Orbital Shakers, Hydrothermal Autoclave reactors and other sophisticated facilities to support basic to advanced research in Biotechnology and allied areas.

The department has received more than 60 Lakhs to support R& D activities from the above agencies. Further, the Faculty members regularly attend International Conferences and Seminars with in the country and abroad.The faculty members, post graduate students and scholars actively participate and in conferences and seminars and present research papers. The research findings are published in Journals of high repute. The department periodically organizes conferences, workshops and seminars. The department has an excellent track record in placement with its post graduate students finding positions within India and globally.
